museums of Tangermünde invite you to visit. The Heimatmuseum
in the old town hall re-counts the town's chequered history.
One room is dedicated to Tangermünde's most famous woman
- Grete Minde. Her fate is still discussed today.
The
Burgmuseum (castle museum) in the Tangermünde Schloßfreiheit
was set up in the town's oldest house, constructed in 1543.
In these premises visitors can familiarize themselves with
the castle's history, its functions and importance.
It is
also worth visiting the Salzkirche. The building's ambience
provides the ideal setting for a wide range of exhibitions.

events.
